What dance shall we dance?
When the drums are rolled away:
What song shall we sing?
When the music fades;
And the teardrops cling to our chins,
When thick darkness closes in on us,
Like a cold blanket in the harmattan,
Today, we rise again
To fight a new fight
We believe in tomorrow,
Faith\’s fingers strum a melody
On our heart\’s strings
So we\’ll sing a song of hope
And dance to the beats of our hearts.
